Home Facial: Add a few Tablespoons of herbs to a pot of boiling water. Remove the pot from the heat and use a bath towel as a tent over your head. Allow the steam to rise into your face for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse your face with cold water to remove dirt and close pores. Apply moisturizing lotion.

Treating Dry Skin: Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day and eat foods high in water content, such as fruits and leafy vegetables. In dry climates, use a humidifier. To rehydrate your body, bathe in mildly salted water (1/2 cup sea salt to a tubful), then apply moisturizing lotion.

When applying to hands, always use light, short strokes from fingertips toward elbows. This eliminates downward skin drag and maximizes moisturizing effect.
